STUDIO FOR INTERRELATED MEDIA
This intensive inter-disciplinary arts studio class is designed to help students focus their experiential and creative study abroad experience within the context of their Greek island historical, cultural and artistic environment. We will experiment with found object/material, sculpture, architecture, painting, photographs, video, sound, performance, and other phenomenological occurrences. Installations, site specific projects, and other richly layered video and collage works may be created using a variety of techniques and approaches. Mixed-media projects, painting and drawing, digital still and video film, graphic art constructions and installations, will all form part of the student's semester of study. With an eye on depth of content, as well as exploratory and investigative approaches, basic themes may be drawn from personal experiences, archetypal literary patterns, philosophical and spiritual beliefs.
