Founded in the year 2000, Hellenic International Studies in the Arts (HISA) brings together in the historical and classical landscape of Paros, Greece, an interaction between students who desire more than a traditional lecture format and talented teachers and artists who wish to share their experience and knowledge. Drawing on extensive and diverse backgrounds in university teaching and administration, international art and academic seminars, the HISA group has consolidated its experience into a unique and creative learning environment.
The broad range of HISA’s studio and liberal art courses have been carefully organized to meet the ambitious aspirations and goals of contemporary university students. HISA’s American incorporated 501 C 3 non-profit tax deductible charitable status allows us to offer a top quality program at a reduced tuition. HISA also added the new mid-term study excursion to Turkey, enhancing students' experiential art and academic opportunities. Although HISA is an independent, autonomous program, and creates its own syllabi and curriculum structure, individualized and tutorial in manner, all core courses are accredited by two prestigious American universities who issue official transcripts for qualified HISA participants.
